The coaches in our Jr Cheer program play a crucial role in shaping young athletes' experiences in cheerleading. Coaching Jr Cheer is both rewarding and challenging, requiring individuals who are passionate about fostering a love for cheerleading while promoting values of discipline, teamwork, and self-esteem. As a Junior Cheer Coach with the Andover Jr Sports Association (AJSA), your primary responsibility is to create a positive and enriching environment where athletes can develop their cheer skills and grow as individuals. We seek coaches who possess genuine enthusiasm for the sport and a strong desire to share that passion with young athletes, alongside a commitment to their improvement and personal growth. Safety is paramount, with a thorough understanding of cheerleading guidelines to ensure a secure training environment. Effective communication with athletes, parents, fellow coaches, and AJSA is crucial for goal alignment. Leadership, adaptability in coaching techniques, and dedication to AJSA values are essential qualities. Join us in making a meaningful impact on young athletes' lives, nurturing their cheerleading skills and broader life abilities. Together, we will cultivate a youth cheerleading program that reflects AJSA's values and enhances the lives of all participants.
