JR CHEER LEADERSHIP TEAM ANNOUNCED

We are incredibly excited to announce the leadership team for Andover Jr Cheer!

Dr. Ann Cramer has been selected to lead the Andover Jr Cheer program. Dr. Cramer brings an exceptional cheer background, significant experience, and strong professional leadership to our athletes and families.

Dr. Cramer formerly worked for the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), was an NCA All-American, competed as a member of a two-time NCA National Championship Co-ed Team, and cheered for the University of Hawaii. Professionally, she is currently in practice as a clinical psychologist.

Joining Dr. Cramer are two Assistant Coaches who bring additional experience and professional backgrounds to the program.

Madeline Paxton is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Andover Elementary School.

Jessica Craine is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 16 years of professional experience. Jessica began cheerleading in the 4th grade and continued through college, where she cheered on a collegiate scholarship.

We also want to recognize and sincerely thank Desirae Moreno, Andover Central High School Varsity Cheer Coach, for the tremendous job she did leading Andover Jr Cheer last season. We are extremely grateful for the time, experience, and leadership she gave our girls and our program.

Coming off such a strong season, AJSA was very deliberate in selecting the leadership that would carry Jr Cheer forward. It was important to us not only to maintain the foundation and standard established last season, but to continue building upon it.

Desirae has already shared information from last season’s program, along with cheer materials and videos, to help provide continuity for the new coaching staff. Dr. Cramer, Madeline, and Jessica will be able to build on what is already in place while also bringing their own experience, ideas, and leadership to the program.

We could not feel more fortunate to have this level of cheer experience, professional leadership, and commitment to young athletes leading Andover Jr Cheer.

FIRST PRACTICE — TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

With the season already underway, our coaching staff is ready to get started right away.

For this Tuesday only, practice will begin at approximately 6:15 PM at Andover High School in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Varsity Cheer will be using the room immediately before us, and the room should become available at approximately 6:15 PM. We will get underway as soon as they finish and the room is available.

Our second practice will be Wednesday, September 16, from 5:30–7:30 PM.

REGULAR PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Going forward, families should plan on practices being held:

Tuesdays — 5:30–7:30 PM
Wednesdays — 5:30–7:30 PM

Any changes to the practice schedule will be communicated and updated through Crossbar.

Please look to your Crossbar App for future announcements, schedules, practice updates, and communication from the coaching staff. Crossbar will be the primary source for Jr Cheer team communication throughout the season.

ENTERING ANDOVER HIGH SCHOOL

Please enter Andover High School through the north entrance next to the Andover Aquatics Pool.

Once inside, walk straight down the long hallway toward the gymnasium. The Multi-Purpose Room will be on your left, directly across from the concession stand and just before you reach the Commons area outside the gymnasium doors. This is the same studio room used by Andover High School Varsity Cheer for practice.

The actual room number will be added in Crossbar once it is confirmed.

Our goal is to provide the girls with a program that is fun, positive, well-organized, and focused on developing cheer skills, confidence, teamwork, and pride in representing Andover.

We could not be more excited about where Andover Jr Cheer is headed, and we are especially excited for the girls to meet their new coaching staff and get started Tuesday evening!
